Fifth of Teut Debt Due in 2 Years, Best to the 15-Year Bonds
Paris April 14 The council of four did not meet this morning. President Wilson held a long conference with Premier Orlando and other Italian leaders on the Adriatic question. Orlando suggested informal exchanges over Fiume and Italy's eastern Adriatic claims. Wilson promised personal study of the matter. Germany under the peace treaty must pay 5 000 000 000 in cash or commodities before May 1 1921 and issue 20 000 000 000 in interest bearing bonds. Bonds will pay 2 or 3 percent until 1926 and 5 percent thereafter, over 15 years, under central control to stabilize prices. Germany also must pay other damages via a mixed commission.
