Flour prices rise as wheat climbs to new highs

Flour is set for another small advance to 3.40 per 49 pound sack amid a high wheat market. The lowest 49 pound sack price in two years has been 2.95, with wheat trading around 2.61 to 2.65 at Minneapolis plus freight. Reports say the Federal Grain corporation has unloaded its wheat holdings, while demand remains strong and supply tight. Flour hit a peak in May 1917 after U S. entry into the war, at 17.50 per barrel, compared with 13.60 planned for tomorrow.
