Self-Propelling Cars to Be Demonstrated by Rock Island Lines
Rock Island Lines will exhibit six new gas electric motor cars in a multi city tour: St Louis on April 15, Kansas City April 17, Des Moines April 19 and Omaha April 21 with interim runs between the cities. The cars, 77 seats, olive exterior mahogany interior, are boiler heated and electrically heated with modern amenities. After exhibition, units will join Rock Island branches in the Midwest and South, including Topeka St Joseph Des Moines and more, with routes extending to Oklahoma Arkansas Texas and Louisiana.
