County 1926 road program advances with two major projects
Wack Hawk county approves the 1926 road building plan detailing 20 miles of paved drainage and graveled routes. The Dunkarton Fairbank road four and a half miles and the Magle Center Voorhies road six miles were adopted amid a single objection from the Chicago Northwestern railway. Plans for bidding and future improvements were outlined to connect Dimker ton to Oelwein via a new shorter route.
