Allison Ia April 12 Supervisors and county engineer D W Burch completed plans for this year's road work in Butler county A five mile gravel stretch west of Allison will be constructed leaving six miles on No 10 unimproved west to the Franklin county line Primary road funds are insufficient to finish No 10 this year The highway commission urged additional funding and action on the project.

Linn County farmer earns big by pulling cars from mud
In Cedar Rapids area a mudhole on Genter Point road drew over 70 cars last week. Ween W. F. Hupp, an electrical contractor, charged a dollar per pull and earned about 70 dollars in a night, with potential to reach 200 as more cars got stuck. He used a heavy raft horse and chains.
