Stock Dividends Proposal for Christie Engine Company
The Christie Engine Company plans to issue stock to reach 1.5 million dollars in assets, enabling bond financing for further work. Debt cannot exceed two thirds of issued capital, and upon cutting ten million in bonds the capital stock rises to fifteen million. Pro rata stock distribution would multiply each holder’s shares by ten, with 100 shares becoming 1,000. A 100 share holder could total 10,000 shares with a 100 million bond issue, and 50,000 shares with 500 million bonds, suggesting large equity gains for small holders.
