Colored Woman Fires at Mate in City Limits
Alice Williams, 28, colored, wife of Isadore Williams, was arraigned in police court on charges of shooting within the city. The case was continued until tomorrow. Police say her aim was poor and she fired a .45 caliber automatic at Isadore at 20 paces without hitting him. Isadore, who had lived with her for two years under common law, claims jealousy over a neighbor on the porch sparked the attack. He is held for investigation. he has a history of similar scrapes. Also named are Della Miller and Stanhope La Prade, both held on liquor nuisance charges after a raid seized hooch. Six suspects involved in liquor traffic were cited.
