In Boone on April 7 a milk strike was declared after a city ordinance required cows used for milk sales in town to receive a free tiberculin test funded by the state. Farmers objected, saying the test should cover cattle used for butter making. They refused to sell to city dealers, and Saturday yielded no milk deliveries. The city administration says enforcement will proceed and farmers may keep their milk if they choose.
