Des Moines architect proposes county home expansion to house 100 patients and aid the incurable in sane. Board of Supervisors to discuss April session plans and specifications for a $30,000 project on the county farm. A new isolation hospital for smallpox and contagious diseases may also be built on 25 acres northwest of the Bartlett quarry site.
Architect J. G. Ralston has drafted plans for a brick home to cost about $12,000. A. H. Coward and son H. S. Coward will erect the twenty room house with full bath and modern conveniences at Second and Denver streets this coming summer. Occupancy hoped by September.
Property listings advertise acre tracts of 10 15 5 and 4 blocks from Chau tauqua Park near Waterloo with a close in 10 per cent investment. An 18 room house on Logan Ave and a near new 4 passenger Interstate car plus a 7 passenger Oldsmobile are offered.
