Three northeastern Iowa counties moved to disclaim responsibility for Lorenz Wedeking, 21, held in the local jail after breaking into John Boerschel’s Powersville home near Nashua. Floyd county proposes sending him to Chickasaw or Bremer county, neither eager to accept custody. The Boerschels have shown no concrete charges but may seek a sanity hearing following the break in and violent, frenzied behavior when they refused access to Miss Hilda Boer.
