Tribute to the Country Doctor Courage and Duty
A heartfelt tribute to a rural physician with a vast practice. He covers a 1060 mile territory, treks by car in summer and by horse in winter, never takes a vacation for seven years, and still charges only a dollar to patients. The writer urges a monument or hospital linked tribute, praising daily service over personal gain. The piece links to The General Practitioner in Bonnie Briar Bush and recommends reading it for inspiration.
