The body of Vincent Doherty, a young boy, was recovered today from the debris in Brooklyn's Gold Street gas main explosion trench. He and another boy had been playing on the sidewalk when the blast occurred, pulling their mother into distress as timbers and stone surged into the trench.
Manila plans a five day entertainment for the Atlantic fleet from November 26 to 30. Admiral Sperry will land his sailors for the reception, highlighted by a grand military hippodrome on Saturday. In Chattanooga Tennessee on November 24 Clarence Little ten years old was shot and killed by Tom Wickes fourteen after Little chased him home from a hunt and challenged him saying he would not be afraid Wickes shot the boy buckshot in the chest The coroner’s jury held Wickes for first degree murder.
Washington news notes Gilbert Troyer a black youth was arrested for not having a suitable bell on his bicycle after nearly colliding with the president while he walked to church. He posted $4 collateral and was released rather than stand trial. Riots in Hong Kong reported Chinese mobs looted shops and go downs after anti Japanese sentiment. Armed police quelled the mob and twelve Chinese were arrested.

Hartford reports Mrs Joseph Richie dying at home from an overdose of laudanium with her child dead beside her. The father, a baker, was said to be on a hunting trip in Saybrook after instructing an undertaker to bury the child. Mrs Richie is in precarious hospital condition. Police investigate whether neglect or accidental poisoning caused the child's death.
