Two Notable Features Shape City Court Proceedings

In a city court today two major themes emerged. Antonio Socci, a railroad section hand, was fined seven dollars and costs after slipping a railroad journal into his dinner pail during the wreck scene inquiry. John Moriarty, a 17 year old orphan and former Western Union messenger, admitted theft of 1.26 dollars after being driven by hunger and was placed on probation with a five dollar fine and costs. Tony Covco was held for further charges as police prepare a stronger case. Thomas Lee was jailed thirty days for intoxication and costs.
