Peck Estate Faces Prolonged Probate Dispute
In probate court this afternoon the hearing on the administrators accounts was postponed amid heated exchanges between E F Cole for the widow and Seymour for Belle Clackwood of New Jersey. Distribution of assets is approved but not completed, and an appeal appears likely, likely delaying any trial until next winter. Rent collection becomes a point of contention as the administrator asserts authority to collect all rents, while Seymour contends he may prevent full collection for his client's share. The court set June 20 for the continued administration hearing and considered an order to sell part of the Gilbert street property for his client.
