Eleven men injured in a head on crash on the New York New Haven Hartford line near Stanley street in New Britain Conn. A work car from Hartford collided with a through freight at 7 am nine Italians and a fireman suffered broken bones and other injuries with some internal damage. The crew tried to switch before the work car arrived and both crews abandoned their trains. Fireman J H Hazleton and engineer Connolly led the work train while the freight was led by Rice and conductor Fred Ireland from Fishkill Landing.
