Terrible Royal Blue Express Crash Kills Three
Trexton New Jersey December 4 Three men died and eight were injured when the Philadelphia and Reading fast express the Royal Blue crashed into a gravel train near Pennington. Killed were Frederick McCanon Micnakt Matoxyr and Tuomas Frizratnick all track laborers. Engineer Frederick Rodriguez was fatally injured and several passengers suffered serious wounds. The express was about 60 miles per hour on a heavy grade when the gravel train stood on the main track delaying braking efforts and causing a catastrophic wreck. Escaping steam and fire prevented rescuers for a time.
