Hartford August 16 David Maroney conductor of the passenger train involved in the June 23 wreck that killed ten and injured forty surrendered this morning. He faced a continued hearing on bond set at 6000. Engineer Jerome Wilson awaits trial for manslaughter. he may be tried in September. Maroney fled to Philadelphia and West Paterson over nearly two months, returning with a brother in law William Hanrahan. He is a physical wreck and sought counsel’s advice to remain silent.
