Fall Term Watauga Superior Court Adjourned Saturday
The fall term of Watauga Superior Court adjourned with the state docket dominating the week. Judges disposed of numerous cases including auto violations, prohibition law breaches, larceny, assault with deadly weapon and probationary sentences. Death of Allen Councill, son of Judge and Mrs. W B Councill, in Hickory motor vehicle crash reported. burial planned in Hickory with funeral details pending.

G W Barnes known as Little Bud died at his home on Howards Creek on August 29 after long illness. He sought help from a visiting Banner Elk physician with no hope. A respected, upright citizen he leaves a wife a son and a daughter.
