Difficult Dental Operation On Lion In Dreamland
A South African lion named Vendredi in the Bostock collection at Dreamland underwent a rare dental operation. Dentist A McDougall extracted a decayed molar after an impression created a solid gold bridge weighing twenty two peony and costing 150 dollars. The lion’s jaws were held open with ropes and a steel bar used to prevent biting during a half hour procedure. The lion strained to escape as the bridge was installed.
