Quiet Man on Sixth Avenue Train Fails to Find Glory

A burly man harassing passengers on a Sixth Avenue car at about 2 am is challenged by a skilled local fencing instructor. After insults, the teacher orders him to draw in his feet. The bully vows defiance, then receives a shin kick and a knockout blow, ending with the calm man returning to his seat to read as others assist him. At Fifty-ninth Street the bully exits with minimal further trouble.

Montana Goes Republican in State Canvass Close

Helena Mont Nov 4 State canvassing ends today with results showing ten of the Republican State ticket elected including all but Toole for Governor. Supreme Court and six of eight district judges Republican. Senate tied, Lt Governor to cast tie vote. Beaver Head and Deer Lodge counties tied for joint House seat. Only 1800 votes against adoption of the county plan.
