Prohibition results and political notes from Watauga

The Watauga Democrat reports partial county vote tallies from Tuesday’s prohibition election with first figures for prohibition and second for anti prohibition. It notes anticipated county majority 800 to 1000 and wires report Wilkesboro precincts voting for prohibition. Also cites Senator Johnson of Alabama backing Governor Johnson for president and discusses Democratic splits over Bryan. A large whale was captured at Cape Lookout and to be exhibited in Beaufort shipyards, valued at about $600 separate bone and oil.
