Editor Wade H Harris recounts a mountain tour praising Linville trout stock by Linville Improvement Co and a Highland Nursery operated by H P Kelsey, Boone’s historic site, hotel growth at Linville and Blowing Rock, and hospitality along the Boone road with stories of residents and local scenery.
Historical note extols the bobwhite as a major insect predator reducing grasshoppers boll weevils cucumber beetles and numerous pests. It cites studies and yields from Virginia and North Carolina, estimates annual seed consumption by bobwhites and quotes Agriculturalist endorsement, ending with an ad for Chamberlain's Liniment.
A Burlington Maine veteran writes that Bucklen's Arnica Salve cured wounds when other remedies failed, praising its power on sores ulcers and burns. The advert notes a 25 cent price at druggists. Also mentions Chamberlains Cough Remedy advertised by J M Hodges as pleasant to take and soothing.

The property lies on Meat Camp creek in Watauga County North Carolina containing 25 acres and described in Book 4 page 51 and Book 0 mortgages page 200. Sale at the courthouse door in Boon NC on June 6 1910.
