Yanks Find Tomb Older Than Tut’s at Giza
Harvard Egyptology director Reisner reports a cable from Alan Rowe stating a newly found tomb near the Great Pyramid of Cheops dates to about 3000 B C and predates Tutankhamen by roughly 1,700 years. The tomb lies about 100 meters east of Cheops and reveals plastered masonry and a stairway.
