Confederates Convene as Land of Confederate Veterans Meet

The Land of Confederate Veterans camps plan their twentieth convention opening May 31 at 8 o clock p.m. in the arena. Delegates from camps, plus ex officio members, gather with visiting comrades and ladies. The reunion calls for fair daughters, sponsors, and maids of honor, with tickets via committees and Murphy's Hotel as the host.

Inauguration of Kidder Graham at UNC marks new era

Edward Kidder Graham inaugurated as president of the University of North Carolina on April 21 in Memorial Hall. Gov. Craige presided with Chief Justice Clark administering the oath.
