On the first day of August 1921 the sheriff of Watauga County NC advertised land for taxes for 1919 and 1920 against 8S. P. Worley. The total due was 49.29 including costs. The land lies in Shawneehaw Township near Laurel Creek, 170 acres more or less, described in deed from Worley to McGinnis. Worley must pay by August 1 1922 or face conveyance by the sheriff. Purchaser: P M McGinnis. 1922 notice dated April 24.

Marriage breach suit against Russell Vanney in Watauga
In Watauga Superior Court Marie Phillips by her next friend C Tucker sues Russell Vanney for five thousand dollars alleging breach of marriage contract and seduction. Defendant must appear July 17 1922 in Boone NC to answer or demur. An attachment warrant has been issued against Vanney's property in Watauga County.

A notice states J Y Love and Sallie Love executed a deed to Plato Moody to secure 6600 dollars with a 1510 dollar Federal Land Bank mortgage.
