Boone Commercial Club Meeting Seeks Town Growth
The Boone Commercial Club met at the courthouse with large attendance and firm action. They postponed the County Line Road celebration to likely late September or October due to Governor Morrison's unavailability and bridge completion. Boone Fork Lumber Co. offered to add a power unit to supply electricity for Boons Fork and South Mills, with a pledge of service if residents join in. A committee was appointed to coordinate with the company and report next meeting. The school plant needs continued power, and the club aims to secure adequate electric service for a growing town.
