A party for about fifteen Boone children was held Monday afternoon at the Ride-A-Wee Room by Public Health Nurse Stella McCartney. With McCartney out of town, Mrs. M. P. Critcher hosted. Teachers Miss Chester and Miss Prestwood, the latter telling stories, assisted, and refreshments of sandwiches cocoa and candy were served.
Annual reunion of Camp Niffred Triplett No 1273 veterans from Watauga county will take place in Boone North Carolina on July 15 and 16 1920. All comrades able to attend are urged as well as veterans of the 1861 to 1865 Federal army for this last meeting of Confederate comrades. Attorney R E Coffey will deliver the welcome address.
