Fred Watson fifteen year old son of E N Watson of two miles west of Lemoiron Morganton road accidentally shot and killed himself yesterday near noon. He discharged one barrel while pursuing birds and a second barrel fired unintentionally, tearing a hole at the chest. He uttered only I am hurt before dying instantly. Dr McNairy attended, and sympathy abounds for the bereaved family.
