Thomas Wason Dies After Stroke in Yadkin Valley
Thomas S. Watson of Deep Gap died Friday after suffering a stroke twelve days earlier while buying corn in the Yadkin valley. A 64 year old lifelong resident, he built a sizable farm and valued property in Watauga. Funeral services were held at Laurel Springs Baptist church with 2500 attendees from nearby counties.
