Lee's Negro Servant Marvels at Carving Stone Mountain

A tale from Atlanta dated November 26 recalls Rev. William Mac Lee, longtime body servant to General Robert E. Lee, visiting the Stone Mountain memorial. The ex-slave Marie Robert praises the statue, notes likenesses to Lee and Stonewall Jackson, and poses for photographs with field glasses.
