Reidsville Man Killed in Mountain Crash
Frank Foster twenty five died at Watauga Hospital after a Sunday night crash near Deep Gap. He and George Hoover of Lexington were en route to Blowing Rock when the sedan overturned down the mountainside. Foster worked with the state highway commission. Relatives will bring his body to Reidsville for interment.

County court approves 1.33 tax levy for 1928
At an August meeting the board set the levy at 1.33 per 100 valuation for the 1927 28 fiscal year.
