The Rodman gold extraction plan collapses under scrutiny as the Attorney General investigates the Yonkers and Gloversville plants revealing the scheme to extract twenty three cents worth of gold from a ton of rock. The report condemns the venture as hot air and bank.
North Carolina Division of Markets promotes poultry and eggs to supplement farm income. By packing for buyers, forming groups to ship carload lots, and developing cold storage, farmers can access cheap transportation and markets. The program reports substantial savings and increased cash from recent shipments and cooperative efforts across counties.
In Watauga County Superior Court the heirs at law of Alice Le noir are summoned about partition of land. The Charlotte Observer notes calls for uniform reciprocal license plates among states to ease travel. Florida temporary tags create arrests in Virginia and Maryland, prompting AA A warnings. Florida issues non resident tags valid two four or six months, but other states reject them beyond 30 days.
The Beech Creek community reports several attendees at Mt Gilead Sunday School. The death of Willie Harman, son of Mr and Mrs Harman, followed an eleven day diphtheria illness. Martha Harman visited Victoria Reece Saturday. A severe storm and heavy rain struck the area, and the Mt Gilead singing class was invited to Heaton on May fifth.
