Charles H. Wetzle of Sunbury swore an affidavit filed August 10, 1894 stating he purchased Chamberlain's Pain Ball at Mellick's drug store on crutches for inflammatory rheumatism and after three bottles was cured. Samuel Shipman, J. P., notes the product sold at 50 cents per bottle by druggists.

A Sad Case of Lou Minton and Five Children

In September a destitute woman Lou Minton from Tennessee and her five lit tle ones were found in a small house near Lenoir. They faced severe hunger and measles as consumption took its toll. The family was aided by local charity through winter. Lou Minton died one Friday eve, and was buried at Ellis grave yard by Rev. T. A. Boone. The children are being provided homes.
