Freight Wreck In Letts Disrupts Rock Island Train
A rear end collision occurred Sunday afternoon at Letts between sections of Rock Island No. 90. The first section was to stop for freight while the second was to pass through. The crash destroyed the caboose of the first 90 and a refrigerator car plus a stock car, which burned after catching fire. Reportedly dressed poultry in the damaged car led locals to joke about roast chicken.
