Fatal Bushrod accident ends life of Luther Bowman
A freight yard accident at Bushrod near Lyons, Indiana killed Luther Bowman, 35, an I and W conductor foreman. Bowman, married last Sunday to Amanda J Stout of Elmora, died instantly after being crushed between a dump car and a post. His body was taken to Lyons for burial. He had lived in Elmora while employed at the Bushrod rail yard.
