Jackson Cal Sept 18 Mine rescue crews entered the Argonaut mine to search for three imprisoned miners who have been trapped for three weeks. The first party reached the Kennedy tunnel where it had broken through but the opening proved unsafe and timbering began to stabilize the shaft. Progress reported as air flow and safety issues were addressed and teams prepared to resume excavation to reach the trapped workers.
