Willis Tobias aged 76 died when struck by an automobile driven by L G Young of Kendallville in Wolcottville. The accident occurred after a pupil, on his first day returning from school, dodged one vehicle and stepped into Young's path. Tobias suffered a fatal head injury as a result. A coroner's inquest was opened today to investigate the death.
