Butler Missouri November 24 Congressman David A DeArmond a leading Democrat and his six year old grandson Waddie DeArmond perished in a house fire that started about 4 AM. Mrs DeArmond and Mrs Hattie Clark escaped aided by servant J Nettie Bolles. Flames consumed the two story home trapping the men who died protecting the boy. Neighbors and others watched as the wooden structure burned rapidly with no cry from the fire victims.
