Mrs H B Lindsay and baby daughter will return to Washington from the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis on Sunday. Dr Lind say will motor to Indianapolis Sunday to accompany them home. Dr Lindsay will be in his office today and Saturday. A mammoth pep session by high school students preceded the season opener against Mitchell at Hatchet gym.

Fireman Hurt In Accident In Newcastle Indiana
In Newcastle Indiana two firemen were injured when an eight ton pumper collided with an interurban car en route to a fire. Driver Clark Green suffered serious back and chest injuries and a possible internal injury with a broken arm while George Woods had cuts and leg lacerations. The truck had stopped in a school zone and was found in second gear. witnesses placed the speed at about twelve miles per hour. The pumper was carried forty feet by the traction car. Traction crew Herman Hobson conductor and Kenneth Hollingsworth motorman reported the crash.

James Cowherd 69, formerly of Washington and Loogootee, died Wednesday of a heart attack. Survived by second wife Alice, daughter Mrs. Clarence Wilson of Memphis, two brothers Roy and Z. J., and sister Mrs. Julia Kidwell. Services at Keller Mortuary in Vincennes with burial at Oak Grove cemetery. He was a former Baltimore & Ohio and St Paul railroad employee and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Body to arrive in Vincennes at 6 am Saturday.
