A protest vote was filed in Daviess County last Tuesday concerning the gang issue. Officials reported the filing followed growing public concern over local gang activity and safety.
Voters expressed dismay at the Daviees County Republican ticket with few county candidates aligning to the state ticket. Godwin stood with the state ticket, while Lefrit, Killion, Nugent, and others trailed. The 1904 GOP county plurality of 880 fell to 622, amid broader backlash against the party elder figures. Kirkwood, Missouri passes a lie prohibition ordinance deterring political rallies.
