Mrs Ida Hollingsworth widow of E Hollingsworth of 306 East Walnut street suffered a severe stroke late yesterday evening. By mid afternoon today she was partly conscious and unable to speak. Daughters found her seated and immobile in the home after the attack. She had prior light strokes and her condition is listed as serious.

Fire Truck in Minor Collision at Main and East First
A Central Department fire truck and a truck driven by Loren Ricks collided near East First and Main after noon on Wednesday. Fire Chief E. Charles Bateman said the fire truck, en route to Shepard Garage, struck Ricks’ vehicle’s tire and fender. neither vehicle suffered major damage, and the fire was quickly extinguished after a gasoline fire damaged a car’s wiring.
