Sheriff Bowman says Powell held awaiting trial for stealing harness from Mr. Doolin's farm valued at 66 dollars. A neighbor saw a Powell car near the home and heard two men talking as they drove away. Powell is related to Mr. Doolin and the trial will be held soon.

Newcastle Indiana Nov 7 bandits robbed the Sulphur Springs bank six miles northwest of Newcastle of more than $1500 last night. The vault door was burned and the safe emptied. The loss was not discovered until today when Herbert as an employee found the vault door burned and the money gone. The bank was the Sulphur Springs Bank and the neighboring Parsons Bank of Sulphur Springs was named in the report.
Theatus Myrtle Jones, aged seventy, widow of Marcel lus Jones, died at 4 30 this morning at the family home in Veale township near Cumback after a week of illness. Born August 1860 in Herri don township to Mr and Mrs Thomas McCaffer ty, she spent her life in Veale township and nearby areas. Survived by Otto I Jones of Veale township, Bess Jones of Harrison township, with other relatives noted in the obituary.

James D. Holt, 35, of Terre Haute, was killed at Jackson Hill Mine No 6 west of Clinton when caught under a fall of rock. The body was sent to Clinton hospital for coroner's inquest.
