Funeral services for John D Are rington, B O engineer, were held and burial followed in Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were Lon Purcell, Stanton Potts, Hillary Webber, Ray Hopewell, Ralph Ham, and R C Miller.
Kenneth Fitzgerald nine months old suffered severe burns when a teakettle of hot water spilled on his lower body at the home of his aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs William Purcell. The accident occurred as the water had been left in the bathroom. Medical aid was summoned promptly but the full extent of injuries was not immediately known. The infant also sustained painful burns to the hands.
The third leader's training meeting will be held Wednesday May 11 at the South Side school auditorium at 9 30 A M. Miso Meta E Martin from Purdue will lead the session with a covered dish luncheon to follow. All presidents should attend the 1 30 council meeting in the courthouse or send an alternate if unavailable.

She was related to several persons in Washington community including Bons Gien of Louisiana and Or ville of Ohio. Ankle injury treated at home with minor operation for a fractured hip following a fall. Mrs Sylvester Disser of Grove Street welcomed a son last night. John Hubbs of RFC City reported admission. Charles F Boonshot of Petersy admitted this morning for hip fracture treatment.

Four defendants including Byron Craig Oscar Ho Ag and Everett Zehr appeared for a preliminary hearing in Madison County over the death of Devault at the Madison hospital.
