London reports Austrian bridges across the Piave faced massed Italian reserves and heavy artillery fire. Italian high command says the situation is most encouraging with Austrian gains limited to Piave fronts, while counter offensives and selective defeats are noted along the Piave and Montello sectors.
New York June 78 Pres Sew comb Galeton of Western Union telegraph company declares to Pres Wilson that the war labor board ruling in the dispute with the Commercial Telegraphers Union is not binding, citing non-annihilatory status in the presidential proclamation. He warns a strike could damage public interests and opposes outside union interference. Also notes a patriotic address at St. Johns Episcopal church tomorrow evening hosted by Rev Plummer.
Dr W R Plummer of Evansville will conduct patriotic services after the Episcopal church on Wednesday night at 8 o clock. The public is invited with emphasis on local patriotic organizations to attend. Rev Mr Plummer previously opened the Red Cross drive in Evansville and is regarded as a leading speaker.
A report from thirty five states outlines enrollment in the Works Reserve program with projected totals over 270000, including California cases led by E McManus and Vincefines. A separate case involves a robbery claim against W J Bacon and reform proceedings for a suspect bound over to the district court with bond set at 200 dollars.

The War Department released a casualty list showing forty names in June with ten killed in action two dead from wounds two from accident one from disease and ninety four wounded. Of these forty five were killed in action twenty seven dead from wounds thirty one severely wounded.

June 18 London dispatch says British naval aviators dropped twenty four tons of bombs on Zeebrugge Ostend and Bruges with good results though one British prize failed to return.
