Robert L Winston son of Mr and Mrs John L Winston of this city has been transferred to the United States Naval air station at Pensacola Florida where he will serve as a flight instructor in the navy aviation training school for two years. He was assistant gunnery officer of fighting plane squadron 6 attached to the Enterprise. He will have a month’s leave before reporting July 15 and is expected in Washington soon for a visit with his parents.
Thieves entered the stock pens office on West South street near Seventh by prying a side door and stole a gum machine and a candy machine. Alva Newton notified police when the office opened this morning. otherwise no items were disturbed and the two machines held little cash.
