Youth Drowns in Brazil Pool in July 1594

Brazil Indiana reports 11 year old Joseph Strain drowned Wednesday in a city bathing pool. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Strain. The same dispatch notes Jack Stevens of Kansas City injured on B&O Train No. 23, falling onto a seat and injuring his back. He was en route to Vineet and admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Train crashes into truck at rural rail crossing kills multiple

At 12:45 a New York Central passenger train struck a mobile truck outside Oak Harbor Ohio. Twenty six people rode in the truck from Sand Beach on Lake Erie homeward when the car stalled at the crossing. Witnesses said the driver failed to see the train as it hit the truck mid cars sending bodies flying and mangling evident. Names of eleven victims listed including Bern Cook Mabel Wold Forest Croninger Viola Croninger Olga Pratt Milan Schaaf Holden Huffman and Elda Olds among others from Attiday Ohio and Willard. The Toledo bound train came from Cleveland.
