Lincoln Myers Dies Suddenly in Indiana Funeral Held at St. John
Lincoln Myers died suddenly near Loogootee after a five year illness. He was born September 1, 1867 in Martin County, son of John W and Anna Myers. He married Mabel Padgett. Funeral services were at St. John’s Church with burial in St. John’s Cemetery. Emil Norris & Sons in charge. Survived by widow, a son William H Myers of Leogootee, and two brothers Charlie B Myers of Shoals and J William Myers of Otwell.

Funeral at Williams Grove on the Maysville road with procession to follow.

Plainville Indiana July 20 damage of about 500 dollars resulted from a fire at 1130 this morning at the home of Eddie Passwater. Mrs Passwater, while blackberries were being packed, had an oil stove on the kitchen range explode when water boiled. Kitchen furniture all destroyed and part of the dining room damaged with smoke throughout the house. Insurance will cover the loss.
