Three Held As Robbers After Many Holdups
Bloomfield Indiana January 24 three men arrested on charges of committing numerous robberies including railroad boxcar burglaries and liquor hijackings while passing through Jasonville held in Greene county jail on $4,000 bond each. The trio Merrit Myers 50 Hiles Rogerd 23 and Kenneth Myers 17 were captured at their Jasonville homes. Authorities say they confessed to four raids on boxcars and a truck haul of shotgun shells candy and meats to Terre Haute. A jail break and theft of a 25 gallon bootlegging alcohol were also alleged. A small arsenal of firearms and ammunition was seized.
