Thomas Fenton Crosson of Dallas Texas youngest son of Thomas Crosson former St Simon's boys school teacher visited Saturday. He works with the National Social Security Board and was en route to Washington D C on a business trip. It was his first trip back in about 45 years and he was impressed with Washington and its care. He expected to return for a more extended visit.

Elmer Carrico Jr Hurt In Wreck Near Second Street
Elmer Carrico Jr was painfully hurt in a weekend wreck on Second Street when his car, traveling south, collided with a westbound vehicle at 11:15 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to a Daviess county hospital for observation after nose injuries and a possible head blow. Several other minor accidents occurred in the area, including a collision on Main Street at a U-turn near Hyatt station and a wreck on Palmer Hill. No serious injuries reported in those incidents.

Andrew Olson, 60, veteran powder man for Morris and I Const Co of Minneapolis, was seriously injured near Burns City when a stick of dynamite exploded prematurely. He was rushed to the county hospital for treatment as doctors assessed extensive facial swelling, possible concussion, and damage to both hands.
