Bridgeport Indiana February 15 authorities probed the death of Dorothy Samy aged 11 lay year old whose body was found Monday at Lanterman Park West end deepening the case. Detectives focused on the possibility she died in a hotel join where she spent Sunday night with Lillian Dickerson 14 and Dale Montgomery 19 Lawrenceville.

A jury in Dovess circuit court yesterday found Sam Sturgeon guilty of petit larceny for stealing chickens in the west end a few weeks ago. He was fined $1 and costs and sentenced to 60 days on the penal farm. Sheriff Ed Rankin escorted him to the farm today.
Beverly, three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Roy of Maxwell Avenue, received a painful bruising to her right hand and arm when her arm was caught in an electric wringer last evening. She was taken to Dr. W C McKittrick for medical aid.

Vincennes February 15. Suit for 2999 brought by Peoples National Bank and Trust Company of Washington against the Middle West Road Company heard in Knox Circuit Court on change of venue from Daviess county. The action stems from failure to deposit funds as agreed with K Lehmer on April 12 last year for the Washington to state road project. Lehmer sub contracted grading and shoulder work, but lacked funds to complete the contract.
